In its short time in existence it's been the standard bearer if excellence in the sport of professional wrestling and the history below is sure to be the start of something special among wrestling fans around the world. Thank you to the Global Pro Wrestling Council for releasing the official history of the title to the public. Keep in mind that this information is relevant and accurate as of the time of this writing and probably will change by the time it's read as the titles lineage is ongoing.

Roman Reigns -vs- Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania to unify the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!

-vs-

As everyone knows by now Roman Reigns will be taking on Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania to unify the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship. This match marks the biggest match in the history of both championships since their inception at TLC 2013 where Randy Orton became the undisputed World Champion of professional wrestling. On March 29th either Reigns or Lesnar has the chance to be only the second undisputed champion since all the championships were unified some 15 months ago. Can you feel it? The excitement leading into Wrestlemania is extremely thick and we have a contest in front of us that brings the two most dominating forces in the sport of pro wrestling together for one epic title bout. Does it get any better than this?

Brock Lesnar is the current favorite as he's been the longer reigning champion of the two and he's a little fresher having not wrestled since the Royal Rumble. He's had an extremely solid training camp leading into this unification match and he's enlisted some of the best conditioning coaches in the entire world to guide him through this training session as he prepares for Reigns. Roman on the other had has been a little more active and had a big title defense against former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan, at Fastlane on pay-per-view less than a month back. He's training hard, don't get me wrong, but he doesn't have the deep pockets that Lesnar has to get the ball rolling on a camp that could compete and will have to rely on his heart and elbow grease to take this bout at Wrestlemania. He can do it, but it's currently a 65/45 deficit in favor of Brock Lesnar. We are only a few short weeks away from the match so I guess time will have to tell what will go down when it does. My personal prediction? I'm going with Reigns to win via pin-fall despite being the underdog but I don't think it's going to come easy, if it comes at all. Either which way you can bet that we're in for a hard hitting epic encounter that will leave wrestling fans in awe and talking about it for quite some time to come. And, of course, we'll finalize the night with only one man standing as the sports top dog.

So, who do you got? Lesnar or Reigns? Thanks for checking in guys, keep your eyes locked down right here for more news on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship as it becomes available and as always, thanks for reading!

Enjoy!

Welcome to the *OFFICIAL* blog of the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship & the *UNOFFICIAL* blog of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!

Good day to you all! If you've stumbled across this blog it's most likely because you're either a fan of professional wrestling, a fan of professional wrestling championships, or you're curious as to what the Hail To The King blog is all about. Well, I'm going to tell you what it's all about and you'll have to excuse me if I come across as a tad bit long winded.

First things first. I created this blog for two reasons, two very important reasons, and that's to follow the WWE World Heavyweight Championship's lineage (2013) as well as the lineage of the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship. What is the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship, you ask? Well, the championship is the brainchild of a very dedicated council of pro wrestling fans known as the Global Pro Wrestling Council who were tired of the games and hot potato style antics of trading off championships on a monthly basis. This council submitted to the U.S patent office a patent for a championship they had trademarked and copyrighted with a 20 year paid certificate with the option to renew. The championship would be sanctioned with a set of very defined rules and regulations that would serve as what they would view as pro wrestling's true World Championship as well as a title that would not be owned or regulated by any one wrestling organization. This means that if the reigning champion was to leave the WWE without losing his title than he'd be allowed to defend it in any organization he signs with. The rules were agreed upon in November of 2013 by the GPWC and they saw the Randy Orton -vs- John Cena title unification bout at WWE's TLC pay-per-view as the perfect opportunity to crown the first ever Global Heavyweight Grand Champion since the winner would be considered to be pro wrestling's undisputed champion. On December 15th 2013 the WWE unified their championships to create the WWE World Heavyweight Champion alongside the GPWC commissioning their first ever Global Heavyweight Grand Champion thus making Randy Orton the true champion of the sport of professional wrestling. As was mentioned earlier the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship does come with a set of rules and those specific rules are as follows....

1. The championship may only be defended on pay-per-view against a competitor ranked within the top 3 of whatever company the champion is signed to. If a total of 3 months go by without a title defense than the Global Pro Wrestling Council will vote upon stripping the champion of his title.

2. The championship can only be won and defended in 1 on 1 contests with a result via pin, submission, or by a competitor achieving a victory by a clear decision. Disqualification and count-out victories do not warrant a title change.

3. If a champion leaves the company he is wrestling for and signs with another company than he will still keep his claim as champion since the title is not bound to a single wrestling company. But if the champion retires or is injured and has to be stripped of the title than the Global Pro Wrestling Council will vote as to who the #1 and #2 contenders are and what match will crown a new champion.

4. The Global Pro Wrestling Council may vote upon sudden issues or problems that may occur during a champions reign and has the final say on whatever situation may arise.

The Global Pro Wrestling Council is always accepting applications for new members and members who may want a seat on the board and if you're interested than please e-mail GlobalWorldChampionship@gmail.com for more information. Moving forward we will be posting everything pertaining to the Global Heavyweight Grand Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship here on this news blog so keep popping in for updates as it pertains to the two top championships in the sport of pro wrestling. We just want to take this time to thank everyone who has taken the time to read this blog and embrace the two World Championship as more than a prop. Being a World Champion in any sport should be a career defining achievement and a pinnacle in the lives of those who achieve it, it shouldn't be a product used for anything else than what it is: Greatness.

Enjoy!
